Guapa’s design was the result of a creative collaboration between Professor Franco Poli and Beatriz Sempere. The unique collaboration brings Poli’s experience alongside the fresh and energetic nature of Beatriz Sempere; together creating Sempere#Poli Design.
Spanish Industrial Designer, Beatriz Sempere, passion surrounds spaces and the user experience with diverse objects and their approach to functionality and design aesthetics. She merges her artistic personality with design influences from different cultures, notably Italian and Spanish.
Franco Poli’s rich design experience extends across a number of renowned design brands. He is a globally recognized designer with international accolades for his various collaborations. As a strong contributor to leading conferences and a visiting professor in Italian universities Poli’s is at the forefront of the design scene and its innovation.
Their united collaboration showcases the exploration of technical production with taste, forming the Guapa family. Merging innovative material techniques, leather and metal is combined to achieved a fine and light design aesthetic. The concept of bringing objects to life, enables these materials to create a personality and appeal in which they are presented and manipulated. Wanting people and design to go together the collaboration was about creating something more desirable which talks to its audience; the perfect balance of femininity and form. Guapa is available in various base options as a chair, lounge chair, meeting chair, conference chair and rocking chair.
