Located in an area with a growing student community, the projects included an upgrade to Oran Park Public School, as well the brand-new Oran Park High School, to support up to 2,000 students across Years 7-12. This expansion aimed to ensure that students were supported during their transition from primary school to high school.
Winc, through Business Interiors, was a supplier engaged by the construction contractor to supply part of the furniture for multiple spaces throughout the high school to be ready for the new school year in 2020, including several classrooms, libraries, a cafeteria, staff rooms, sick bays, kitchens, workshops and more.
The Business Interiors team was able to offer access to various brands through one point of contact for builders and project managers. Experience in furnishing a variety of different spaces and an understanding of the range of products enabled the team to support the educational requirements of each learning space. Business Interiors was able make use of its supplier network and product range.
The team’s experience assisted in delivering flexible school spaces that were fit for purpose and versatile. Relationships with suppliers in the education sector had already been formed and Business Interiors’ capacity to store deliveries from several vendors off-site offered more flexibility.
As a result of the team’s commitment to the project, Oran Park High School opened for students in Term 1 2020. Business Interiors delivered a total of 10,000 items to eight buildings in three months, including 7,000 chairs and 2,000 tables.
Our experience enabled us to meet deadlines and the team supported the delivery of new collaborative learning spaces for high school students.
